Research projects have unique requirements: tight timelines driven by funding periods, interdisciplinary teams spread across institutions, and the need for solutions that serve both scientific rigor and practical usability.
Since 2008, CosmoCode has been a reliable technology partner in this space. We have led BMBF-funded research consortia alongside partners like Fraunhofer and the Otto-von-Guericke University Magdeburg, built platforms for Max Planck Institutes, and developed digital tools for the Bavarian Academy of Sciences and Humanities. We understand how publicly funded projects work — from proposal to final report.
What sets us apart is that we don’t just deliver software. We contribute to the research process itself: shaping technical concepts during the proposal phase, participating in project meetings as equal partners, and ensuring that the resulting platforms outlast the funding period. Our research results have been published as open source software and contributed to academic dissertations.
