We have led BMBF-funded research consortia alongside partners like Fraunhofer and the Otto-von-Guericke University Magdeburg, built platforms for Max Planck Institutes, and developed digital tools for the Bavarian Academy of Sciences and Humanities. BMBF Consortium Leadership

Since 2008, we have led multiple research consortia funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) — from the ICKE 2.0 knowledge collaboration platform and the SprintDoc agile documentation project, through the Quixel energy management system, to the WiWiEn AI knowledge platform. Our consortium partners include Fraunhofer Institutes (IFF, ISST) and the Otto-von-Guericke University Magdeburg.

Platforms for Scientific Institutions

We develop custom platforms for leading research institutions. For the Bavarian Academy of Sciences and Humanities, we built a modern Digital Zettelkasten for managing complex research data in Ancient Studies. For the Max Planck Institute for Cognitive and Brain Sciences, we created the Resource App for conducting mental training studies.

Knowledge Management for Research

Research generates vast amounts of knowledge that needs to be structured, linked, and made accessible. We build DokuWiki-based knowledge platforms and custom solutions that organize content into navigable, searchable structures with progress tracking and interactive tools. Our ICKE 2.0 and SprintDoc projects specifically researched how wikis can best support knowledge capture in collaborative and agile environments.

AI-Enhanced Research Tools

We integrate AI capabilities into research platforms where they add real value. Our AI-Chat solution uses Large Language Models to provide natural language access to platform content, with proper source citation to maintain academic standards.

Study & Experiment Platforms

We build platforms that support the full study lifecycle: participant management, scheduling, questionnaire generation, and real-time interaction features like WebRTC-based voice communication for dyadic exercises.

Sustainable Technology Choices

We build on proven, maintainable technology stacks. Our research platforms typically use Python/Django for robust backends, React for interactive frontends, and automated CI/CD pipelines for reliable deployment.
