moo.fx is a small javascript lib based on prototype.js supporting simple, but powerful effects.

Moo.fx was written by the italian company mad4milk and is a good starting point when stepping into the depths of ajax and web2.0 gui design.

In contrast to script.aculo.us, moo.fx is really simple: it consists of 3 effects: Width, Height and Opacity. These effects modifes the style attributes of DOM elements - instead of simply applying show/hide actions you can produce smooth transitions to make the elements appear/disappear.

I have tested it on our DokuWiki support page (click on the “Click here for details”) - and I am really excited: It took my 15 minutes to integrate the effect!

My Opinion:

Moo.fx is a really good starting point when leaving the old-school DHTML behind. It is clear and simple. And if it whets your appetite, take a look at the moo.pack lib. It consists of 5 more effects. Or take a look at the sources an roll your own!
