We are always looking for the best and latest technologies. Then we give them an inhouse try and if they turn out to be robust solutions, we offer it to our customers.
Since we got some small projects in which the customer wanted a basic CMS to keep up-to-date his webpage, our typo3 systems showed themselves the way too powerful. That's the point where we got curious about smaller CMS as Joomla or Drupal. And that's how we discovered TYPOlight! A strong CMS that a) you will love to use due its friendly user interface and b) we love to work with, due its fast installation and easy maintenance.
As I got my hands on it, I was scared about meeting another typo3/typoscript odyssey where my myopia would go ballistic. Instead, it was a big surprise to see how many good and useful built-in features were available, and how relatively easy and fast it was to integrate a custom semi-complex template. The list of built-in features include full-text search engine, news/blog module, file manager, calendar module, newsletter, extension repository and much more. Everything ready for Web2.0 and with the always important backup of a growing community. Under LGPL!! Sounds amazing, eh?!
The documentation is quite clear and complete, and the official site also offers an online demo aswell. Give it a try!
I would promise we are fit on it, but as a company rule, we will wait for pilot customers!
