PhoneGap ist ein Open Source Framework, welche es erlaubt native Applikationen für Mobile Plattformen mittels HTML5, CSS und Javascript zu entwickeln. PhoneGap wurde ursprünglich von Nitobi entwickelt, welche vor einiger Zeit von Adobe aufgekauft wurden.

Seit einigen Jahren ermöglicht 100Ausfluege.de die bequeme Auswahl der Familienausflüge fürs nächste Wochenende oder den Urlaub. Der stetige Trend hin zu mobilen Endgeräten ist an uns natürlich nicht vorbei gegangen, also entwickelten wir Ende 2009 eine Iphone App, jetzt folgt eine Version für unsere mobilen Android Nutzer.

CosmoCode hat die Fashion-Suchmaschine TheLabelFinder auf die Android Plattform gebracht. Die Applikation ist für Smartphones geeignet; sie listet die Lieblings-Labels in der Umgebung auf, zeigt Öffnungszeiten, Kollektionen und Labels an und ermöglicht die Kontaktaufnahme zu den Shops.

As you may know, here at CosmoCode we love DokuWiki and offer all kinds of services around it. One of these services is custom development. But not always it is about writing completely new features. Often customers just want a little bit more from an existing solution. Today I'd like to present you a few of the projects we recently did for our customers.

Using a bounding box in a Google Maps environment has certain advantages over operating only on geo points. One of its biggest advantages is to capture the current map section without the need to worry about the zoom level. Unfortunately, the Google Maps API in Android is not laid out to be used with a bounding box like you would expect as a Javascript API user - but it still can be put to good use.
