Content Management Systeme (CMS)
A CMS system is the right tool for you if you want to update the contents of your web site frequently. A CMS gives you the possibility to edit texts and add pictures without any programming knowledge. Furthermore most system have prebuild modules like contact formulars, discussion boards, guest books, calender etc.. With these modules your web site can be enlarged without having to have the complex functions developed entirely new.
Since 2000 CosmoCode works with cms solutions.
Within the first years commercial cms solutions were extremely expensiv and opensource alternatives were not robust enough. So we decided to build a java based system on our own which we still use today.
Meanwhile it is hard to get an overview of the opensource market. We are working with Typo3 (which is very popular in germany) wordpress. We also gained experience working with joomla, REDAXO and Firstspirit.
Currently we also have the python based Django cms in our portfolio. An interesting alternative with the advantage of developing individual functions quick, easy and cost effective.
CosmoCode is certified Typo3 developer partner. Since 2005 we count on Typo3 and have implemented various system. Typo3 is a stable enterprise system with many features. By defining user roles and workflows Typo3 is perfect for systems with many editors.
Originally wordpress was made for blog websites. The focusing on this central topic, the construction of current contributions, makes the system very simple in the operation. There are also a lot of themes available, some of them are free some are commercial. You can optimize your look and feel for mobile devices and desktop systems by using responsive themes.
Wordpress is suitable for low budget projects with requirements fitting the wordpress logic.
